MSI and KIDO'Z Bring Personal Computing to Kids

MSI and KIDO'Z Bring Personal Computing to Kids

KIDO'Z and MSI sign a distribution agreement stating that all MSI All-in-One Series with screen sizes from 20” up to 22" and all notebooks (Win 7) with screen sizes up to 12" will now come pre-loaded with the KIDO'Z Operating System, to create a personal computer that caters for kids.

(PRWEB) December 21, 2009 -- MSI and KIDO'Z have come together to bring the Internet to kids in a safe, fun and easily accessible way.

Israel-based KIDO'Z and MSI have signed a distribution agreement stating that all MSI All-in-One Series with screen sizes from 20” up to 22" and all notebooks (Win 7) with screen sizes up to 12" will now come pre-loaded with the KIDO'Z Operating System, to create a personal computer that caters for this young and dynamic segment of Internet users.

According to Nielsen, kids between the ages of 2-11 years are spending 63% more time online than they were 5 years ago, and are now using the Internet on average 11 hours per month. This age group is the fastest growing segment of the Internet market, and with that comes the need for a child-friendly way for these kids to access the Internet.

The MSI-KIDO’Z collaboration does just that by bringing together the key elements required by this new digital generation: quality, affordable hardware packaged together with a safe and easy-to-use operating system for kids. The result is a system streamlined for kids, with minimal effort required by parents.

KIDO'Z is optimized both for touch-screen technology and for netbooks, which means that the targeted user base will be able to literally access KIDO'Z at the touch of a button.

KIDO’Z, which is available as a free download from http://www.kidoz.net, will be pre-installed on the MSI All-in-One Series and this netbook range.

What this means for the consumer, is that there will be no need to find and download a children’s operating system, as parents simply need to click on the KIDO’Z icon that has already been installed for them.

All upgrades and new versions are automatically downloaded by the system. Parents would simply need to complete the quick and easy registration and the system is ready to go.

Many families purchase an additional home computer with children as the primary user, however, the 'grown-up' software that generally comes pre-installed on home computers, is not appropriate for the younger market segment. And even on shared family computers, it is difficult (without constant supervision) to prevent children from accessing adult sites and software, and from tampering with computer settings.

Through MSI's foresight of the untapped potential in the kids' Internet market, together with the unique value that KIDO'Z has to offer, the ultimate kids' computing machine has been born.

With KIDO'Z pre-installed, the MSI All-in-One Series and the MSI netbook range deliver the ideal kids' Internet experience at the click/touch of a button.
