GlobalAir.com Launches New Aircraft Exchange
GlobalAir.com announces a completely new version of Aircraft Exchange listing of aircraft for sale or lease; includes updated technology plus new visuals, listing features, and search options
Louisville, Ky. (PRWEB) October 21, 2009 -- GlobalAir.com, a leading web-based aviation information site, is launching a new version of its Aircraft Exchange website to include the latest technology, new search options, expanded listing features, and an overall new visual appearance and user experience. A beta version of the new Aircraft Exchange site will be released at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) annual conference and meeting in Orlando, Florida, with full availability by the end of the year.
Aircraft Exchange is a web-based searchable tool that showcases new and used aircraft for sale or lease, such as business aircraft, commercial aircraft, helicopters, turbine and piston aircraft, and vintage aircraft. The new version is a complete redesign and new concept of the previous version, with a focus on incorporating new technologies, tools, and methods of communication.
With the new Aircraft Exchange, buyers can browse aircraft from the homepage by classification and manufacturer, recently listed aircraft, most viewed listings over the last 30 days, or using a standard comprehensive search text box. Search results can be narrowed further by aircraft listing type (sale or lease) and whether it is listed by a broker, dealer, or private seller. Buyers can then select multiple aircraft and compare details side-by-side, including the make and model, year, total time, price, interior description, engine model, engine description, location of the aircraft, and any additional seller remarks.
Upon selecting an aircraft to view, buyers will see detailed information in Aircraft Exchange, including specifications, seller information, an image gallery, and video if available. They can also download factory aircraft specs, access a loan calculator, conduct an FAA lookup on the aircraft, and select a link for title services for that aircraft.
Aircraft Exchange offers new options for sharing an aircraft listing, including links to forward the listing using e-mail and post it on Facebook and Twitter social media sites. Buyers can also use links in the listing to contact the seller directly by e-mail or text message.
"Our new update to the Aircraft Exchange site is all about taking technology to the next level, especially in regards to selling aircraft," said Jeffrey Carrithers, President and CEO of GlobalAir.com. "We are excited to offer buyers easy access to the most complete information possible when searching for a new or used aircraft. Sellers on our site will also find benefit in new features such as unlimited photographs, video options, and the ability to show their other aircraft listings on their individual aircraft listing page. Aircraft Exchange also introduces a new feature called Complete Spec which is a downloadable compressed file with all the documentation a seller wishes a buyer to have."
The beta version of Aircraft Exchange will be available for demonstration in GlobalAir.com's booth (#5122) at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Annual Meeting & Convention in Orlando, Florida, October 20 - 22 at the Orange County Convention Center.
